About Me
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and couples through some of life's most challenging moments. My work is grounded in a deep belief that meaningful change is possible — and that the right therapeutic relationship makes all the difference.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from City University, and I've been a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors since 2009. I became licensed as an LMHC in Washington in 2009, and have since built a career dedicated to meeting clients where they are.
Early in my career, I worked in community mental health, where I provided care for adults living with chronic mental illness and complex needs. That work encompassed multiple levels of care — from medication management and housing support to financial advocacy and crisis intervention, including coordination of psychiatric hospitalizations when necessary. That experience gave me a strong foundation in working with people navigating serious, real-world challenges.
Today, I have a private practice in Renton, Washington, where I offer individual therapy, couples therapy, and marriage counseling. My work with couples centers on helping partners build deeper emotional intelligence, develop genuine listening skills, and learn how to honor each other's needs — not just in conflict, but in everyday life. My goal is to help couples move toward relationships that feel more connected, more equitable, and more fulfilling.
In 2015, I completed Collaborative Marriage Skills, a two-day intensive workshop grounded in the work of Elam Nunnally, Sherod Miller, and Daniel B. Wackman. This training deepened my ability to help couples develop the practical communication skills that make lasting change possible.
